Daniel J. Bussel received his undergraduate degree from the
University of Pennsylvania and is a 1985 graduate of the Stanford
Law School where he was the Nathan Abbott Scholar and a member of
Order of the Coif. He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sandra
Day O'Connor and the Honorable Stephen G. Breyer after graduating
law school. He then specialized in bankruptcy reorganization law
at O'Melveny & Myers where he represented trustees, secured
and unsecured creditors, licensees and acquirers of assets from
bankruptcy estates.
From 1992 to 2001, Mr. Bussel was a full time member of the faculty
of the UCLA School of Law where he holds the rank of Professor of
Law. He taught basic and advanced courses in bankruptcy, commercial
law and contracts. Mr. Bussel has published numerous scholarly articles
and authored leading casebooks in the fields of bankruptcy and contract
law.
Mr. Bussel has been engaged as an expert consultant and witness
in a variety of matters related to bankruptcy and commercial law
including jurisdictional issues, fraudulent transfer litigation,
and assumption and assignment of executory contracts.
Mr. Bussel joined KTBS during the summer of 2001.
