Michelle Banayan is an associate at KTBS Law LLP.
Ms. Banayan represents clients in both bankruptcy and corporate transactions. Prior to joining KTBS Law, Ms. Banayan worked at an international law firm, where she provided counsel to venture capital firms and emerging companies. She has represented clients through complex corporate financing rounds as well as with matters of corporate governance. Ms. Banayan has also represented real estate private equity firms in large-scale real estate acquisitions and developments. She has negotiated and closed transactions in a diverse group of industries, including technology, real estate, security and defense, environmental sciences, food and retail.
Ms. Banayan received her B.A. from Brandeis University and her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During her time at UCLA School of Law, Ms. Banayan served as a Managing Editor of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review. She also was active on the Moot Court Honors Board and in the Jewish Law Students Association. At Brandeis, she studied American Studies, Legal Studies and Journalism and was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.
Ms. Banayan is a member of the State Bar of California. She is also active in the Southern California chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
