Nir Maoz is a member of KTBS Law LLP.

 

Mr. Maoz represents clients in a variety of roles, both in and out of court.  His practice spans key corporate restructuring areas, including asset sales, debt restructurings, and other reorganizations.  Mr. Maoz has experience representing purchasers of assets, secured lenders, landlords, equity holders, and other stakeholders in special and distressed situations, including section 363 sales in cases such as Apex Parks Group, LLC, Bluestem Brands, Inc., Stanadyne LLC, and Meta Media Tech, Inc.  Mr. Maoz also has significant experience in private credit restructuring, including innovative change-of-control transactions.

 

Mr. Maoz has also represented committees and other stakeholders in mass tort bankruptcies, including in the bankruptcy cases of Aearo Technologies LLC, LTL Management LLC, Imerys Talc America, Inc. and Kidde-Fenwal, Inc.

 

Mr. Maoz received his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law with a certificate in Business Law.  Upon graduation, he was admitted to the Order of the Coif.  During law school, he received First Place in the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Writing Competition.  He was also an editor of the Berkeley Business Law and Berkeley Technology Law Journals.  Mr. Maoz received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with high distinction.  At Berkeley, he studied Political Science and Legal Studies and was the recipient of the Leadership Award.

 

Mr. Maoz is a member of the State Bar of California, the Financial Lawyers Conference, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Ninth Judicial Circuit Historical Society.  He is also on the Board of the Southern California chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.  Mr. Maoz is also a contributing author to the Collier Business Practice Guide.  He is admitted to practice before state and federal courts in California, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
